Although the period has one note-diminution at C4, the tendency of nearly the entire period is note-addition until motif 3 is reached. The rhythmic density is raised over the period from 32nds over quintuplets to 32nd triplets. Dynamics evolve in crescendo from pianissimo in measure 99 towards forte in measure 110. No accents are added. The phrasing remains 1/2 pedal throughout the period. The melodic curve evolves from the slightly capricious repetitive pattern in bars 99-102 to a combination of a very jumpy start of the pattern with a fluent tail in measure 110. The construction of this period holds a very clear rotation: the order of the notes remains the same, but their position within the bar changes.
